Poker Stars has recently passed a major milestone, they had 150,000 players at the tables. No online poker room has ever reached this level and its doubtful any of Poker Stars nearest competitors will reach it within the next 5 years. The amazing fact is that when they set this record players didn't experience any lag or have any connection problems. It is rumored that the software can handle well over 300,000 connections at one time so it will be a while before Poker Stars has to upgrade. Some of the smaller room are basically unplayable when they have more then 10,000 players logged in, this just goes to show that Poker Stars spares no expense when it comes to providing a stable playing envrioment for their players.

Poker Stars has recently hosted the largest tournament in the history of online poker. They hosted a $10+$1 buy-in No Limit Holdem tournament and had a record setting 20,000 players playing in it. The first place prize went to Lynna1, she took home $20,000.
